You may have seen one of the many you tube videos where a very young child operates an iPad ( like this 2 yr old ) or similar device.  The potential to use a smartphone and tablet for learning is endless.  Making it fun and engaging for the app user is the challenging part.  Not unlike creating a game that keeps the player coming back to play time and time again.

So we decided that we would embark on building a series of learning apps that would address various age groups of children.  As we discussed the potential areas and how we would structure our apps we determined that there could be a large amount of code reuse across the various applications.

With that in mind, I came up with a basic design for learning things through picking items on the screen and testing the players knowledge  based on a multiple choice game.  So we are in the process of creating our first couple of apps based on this idea of creating a reusable app framework.

We came up with the concept called   Pick to Learn....  so with that in mind we are off creating the first of hopefully a wide selection of educational apps where the child will Pick to Learn things.
